This machine is a charm to use. Simple, reliable and you can make things that you'll hardly be able to do on a way more expensive boiler machine. If you don't make a lot of milk beverages and don't need to make eight expressos in a row this is probably one of the best machines out there for several reasons.

I'm very pleased with the device. The popularity of the Cafelat Robot is perfectly justified! I love the workflow.

With this machine and a good hand grinder (1Zpresso K-Ultra), I get a perfect espresso. I live in France where I enjoy the Terre de Cafe coffee store using top of the line tools (Slayer + Malkhoening mainly) and I get similar results with this machine and good coffee.

It's a joy to use despite very minor design flaws : the space under the brewing group is too short, the pressure gauge is not correctly oriented and there should be a way to lock the arms in the upper position.

I would like to insist on the fact that none of these points is blocking. I use an elastic to lock the arms upwards, I tilt my head to read the gauge and for the short legs it's not very convenient but doesn't block anything.

It's the Leica of espresso machine. It just works.

Coming from pods, to Breville Barista Pro, and a Flair Pro, been eyeing on the Cafelat for some time. Price made me jump on the offer from Lesswastecoffee, and boy, if I am more than satisfied with the robot, I need to praise the teams at both Cafelat (same day reply) and Lesswastecoffee (same day reply before purchase, very nice delivery, small attentions - gifts, messages hand written - very heart warming). 5 stars on all. Ordered from France, they will now be on my top list for future orders if they carry the product.

After looking lots of info about espresso machines I came to the decision this was the best solution for me. Super solid, made for last with zero manteinance, and super simple to use and to keep clean. I love also that it occupies a very little space in the kitchen compared to any other espresso machine, and also I find it beautifull. The only thing to consider before buying it is to be sure you have a good grinder first. You can also use pregrinded grocery coffee, but you would need the pressurized basket, wich is extra.

This is great! This little device allows for lots of experimentation that can seem daunting at first and make you feel overwhelmed. Fret not though 'cause it only takes a couple of shots to learn its tropes and produce an excellent tasting espresso from the comfort of your own home.

The Cafelat Robot is exactly what I expected: A robust and simple manual lever espresso machine.

Cons:
It's not very forgiving, and you have to tame it before getting the best out of it (Took me 4 shots to hit a perfectly balanced extraction).

Pros:
You have control over every aspect of your espresso (Pressure, time)
Even "failed" shots are still really good (better than what you can find in most cafés) and make great lattes.
It's built to last. Pretty sure I will be out of order before my robot.
You don't need to preheat anything if you are using a darker roast.
It's cute.

Lesswastecoffee is a trustworthy distributor, shipping out of Slovakia. My Robot arrived at my place in Spain within less than a week. It had the original Cafelat packaging and was in perfect conditions. I've been using the Robot for about a month now. It takes a few days/weeks to get a handle on it (e.g. correct grind size, amount of water, tamping pressure, pre-infusion), but now I'm able to pull café-grade espresso shots. The communication with Lesswastecoffee is also very efficient. Before purchasing, I contacted them via email and received an answer within a few hours. Highly recommended.
