How is the mirror used during espresso preparation - does it stick permanently to the coffee machine?
Ako sa zrkadlo počas prípravy espressa používa - prilepí sa natrvalo na kávovar?
During extraction, the mirror simply rests on the edge of the cup under the bottomless portafilter and its angle can be adjusted with a gentle push of your finger - making it usable with any coffee maker, as it does not attach directly to it. The included adhesive magnetic dot is used to store the mirror next to the coffee maker when not in use, so it is not necessary for its functioning during the extraction itself.
Počas extrakcie sa zrkadlo jednoducho oprie o okraj šálky pod bezodným portafiltrom a jeho uhol si nastavíte jemným zatlačením prsta - vďaka tomu je použiteľné s akýmkoľvek kávovarom, keďže sa priamo naň neupevňuje. Priložená lepiaca magnetická bodka slúži na uskladnenie zrkadla pri kávovare, keď sa práve nepoužíva, nie je teda nutná pre jeho fungovanie počas samotnej extrakcie.
Does the mirror also work with a classic, closed portafilter, or only with a bottomless one?
Funguje zrkadlo aj s klasickým, uzavretým portafiltrom, alebo len s bezodným?
A mirror only makes sense in combination with a bottomless (naked) portafilter, because its purpose is to monitor the flow of coffee flowing out from under the strainer and detect any channeling. With a classic closed portafilter, where the coffee stream flows out hidden inside the spout, the mirror has nothing to show.
Zrkadlo má zmysel len v kombinácii s bezodným (naked) portafiltrom, pretože jeho účelom je sledovať tok kávy vytekajúcej spod sitka a odhaliť prípadné kanálikovanie. S klasickým uzavretým portafiltrom, kde prúd kávy vyteká skrytý vnútri hubice, zrkadlo nemá čo zobraziť.
