It has a rich history of development (which is fully documented on YouTube), which I carefully studied before buying, and a huge fan base around the world, which has already solved almost all questions about this interesting machine. Espresso makes excellent, and what is the best about it compared to automatic machines and lever machines - that the whole process can be influenced and changed to achieve the desired result. Although it is worth noting that you need to learn to work with it - play with time, pressure, brand of coffee and grinding quality, I can only recommend it. The robot is for true lovers of quality and coffee, its background on YouTube is a bonus. Satisfaction and highly recommend.

You need a little time to understand how it works, but once you get there, the coffee comes out amazing. You have the possibility to control every possible parameter to get an extraction to your taste. Obviously, you need the right water and quality coffee, freshly roasted and ground correctly for optimal results. I recommend it to people who are willing to learn from mistakes and who are interested in documenting themselves and experimenting to obtain a perfect coffee. If you are not willing to invest time, then maybe a machine with a pump is more suitable. I recommend preheating the piston before making the coffee, especially for medium or light roasted coffees. You can pour some boiling water into a cup, and hold the plunger in the water for 10 seconds, just before mounting the portafilter with the prepared coffee pod. Personally, I haven't noticed any noticeable differences with preheating the portafilter, so I don't think it's necessary

It's a really great machine. I switched from a dual boiler, flow control machine, but I don't feel it's a step back at all, in fact. Although there is no steam, it can be prepared quickly and there is a perfect espresso :) The beauty/joy of making it manually, especially with a hand crank. The placement of the pressure gauge is unfortunate, but there are various after-the-fact solutions for this, I think it's still worth doing, but that's all.

It would be best to give a review after a few months, but after just a few days I am quite impressed and definitely recommend it. A few observations: - I was first drawn to the design. It's completely different live and it's a really beautiful thing. - The construction is of high quality and much more robust than it seems at first glance. - Of course, the most important thing is that it makes really great coffee. I have minimal experience with preparing espresso, but already the first shots far exceeded what you get in many cafes with completely different machines. - The preparation process is fun and will be enjoyed by those who have a little time for it (ie I do not recommend it if you are in a hurry, need to make a lot of coffee, etc.). - Pressing the coffee itself is a little harder than I expected and I sweated a lot even for 6-7 bars - Some details are a bit sloppy - the color near the shoulders, the tube poorly covering the pressure gauge tube, it's handmade - as mentioned, it only makes double espresso.

It's a great manual coffee maker with one pretty big drawback. The minimum dose of coffee is approx. 14g or more (depending on the variety), so that you can reach the tamper above the lower narrowing of the sieve, and that the coffee can be pressed. If it is less, then the narrowing will stop you and you will not press the coffee. So if you occasionally drink a single espresso 7g, it's quite a problem. This would be solved by changing the design of the current sieve, or adding one more for 1 espresso (that is, less ground coffee).
