Description

The Robot Basket Plug is handy for pre-heating the piston or checking that the pressure gauge is working.

The Robot plug is already included in the package of Cafelat Robot Barista and the Cafelat Robot Regular.

The plug is made of food grade silicone (BPA free), the same material as the Robot piston seals are made of.

Material: silicone rubber (food-grade silicone, the product passed the SGS test , link to the certificate ).

Size: diameter approx. 5.8 cm, thickness 1.3 cm. Weight: approx. 20g. Color: red. Packaging: 1 pc.

Preheating the Robot Piston

To preheat the piston, wipe the basket well to ensure it is free of coffee particles.
Push the blind plug all the way to the bottom of the basket then fill with hot water up to the top as usual.
Place into the machine and hold the levers down for 30-60 seconds to warm up the piston.
Remove the portafilter, pour out the water and pull out the plug.

The piston is now preheated and you can safely continue with the preparation of coffee.
