Description

The Timemore C3S Pro is a compact, manual coffee grinder from Timemore. It is an all-metal, practical version of the popular Chestnut C3 series. Designed for home users, coffee connoisseurs and travellers, it is a high-quality, durable and easily portable grinder that does not require electricity. The solid, aluminium alloy body feels good in the hand and, when combined with the folding handle, takes up less space when carried.

The grinding is done by 38 mm conical steel S2C660 stones, which are manufactured using precision CNC machining. S2C technology  ("Spike to Cut") - first cuts the coffee beans into smaller pieces before grinding them, helping to achieve a more uniform particle size and limiting the formation of excessive amounts of fine coffee dust. The grinder offers approximately 36 adjustment settings and is suitable for making coffee with a moka pot, AeroPress, dripper, Chemex or French press. While it can grind coffee finely enough for espresso, its adjustment is not as fine as that of the Timemore C3 ESP Pro model, which is specifically designed for more precise espresso tuning.

Key features of the Timemore Chestnut C3S Pro coffee grinder:

  • 38 mm S2C660 grinding stones - conical stainless steel stones use "Spike to Cut" technology, which first cuts the grains into smaller parts and then grinds them evenly.
  • Precision CNC Machining -  The grindstones are manufactured using precision five-axis CNC machining and reach a hardness of approximately 55–58 HRC. The precise geometry helps to limit the formation of oversized particles and excessive fine dust.
  • All-metal construction - the grinder body is made from a single piece of aluminium alloy. Compared to the basic C3 model, selected internal plastic parts have been replaced with metal components to increase the grinder's strength, stability, and durability.
  • Approximately 36 degrees of coarseness - the internal adjustment nut allows you to adjust the grind from fine to coarse. Turning clockwise sets a finer grind and turning anticlockwise sets a coarser grind.
  • Double central axis support - two bearings stabilise the axis of the grinding stones, limiting their deflection and contributing to smoother operation and more uniform grinding results.
  • Folding Pro Handle - The handle can be easily folded along the body of the grinder, making it easier to fit in your luggage, drawer or travel coffee kit.
  • Smooth and comfortable grinding - the bearing in the handle allows it to rotate freely and reduces resistance while working. The 52 mm diameter body is comfortable to hold even for users with smaller hands.
  • Textured non-slip surface - fine diamond knurling improves grip and helps keep the grinder firmly in your hand even when finely grinding harder, lightly roasted beans.
  • Compact travel design -  a narrow body, folding handle and mechanical construction that does not require electricity make the C3S Pro a practical grinder for home, office and travel use.
  • Easy maintenance - the grinding mechanism can be disassembled and cleaned with the included brush. The grinder should not be washed with water to avoid damage to the steel parts and bearings.
