Description

The Varia × Kurasu FLO is a stainless steel dripper for pour-over coffee, developed through a collaboration between Varia and Japan’s Kurasu. It is designed for home coffee enthusiasts and baristas who want to explore different flow settings when brewing filter coffee.

FLO has a two-part design with an interchangeable flow disc at the base. Three discs – Fast, Medium and Slow – are included, allowing you to change how water flows through the dripper. Its double-wall stainless steel body helps retain heat during brewing, and the dripper is compatible with flat-bottom wave paper filters.

Key features of the Varia FLO dripper:

  • Three flow discs – the included Fast, Medium and Slow options let you adjust flow to suit the coffee and your chosen brewing method.
  • Interchangeable base – the two-part design lets you swap discs and experiment with flow rate, water path and contact time with the coffee.
  • Double-wall stainless steel body – the insulated construction helps reduce heat loss during brewing.
  • Handle-free design – according to the manufacturer, the double-wall construction makes the exterior more comfortable to hold even while pouring.
  • Flat-bottom wave filters – the dripper is designed for wave-style paper filters with a flat bottom.
  • Further adjustment options – the manufacturer also offers additional flow discs as optional accessories.

Varia FLO is particularly well suited to anyone who wants to explore the effect of flow on pour-over coffee without replacing the entire dripper. The three included discs provide a starting point for experimentation, while the double-wall stainless steel body offers a sturdy foundation for everyday brewing.

Package contents:
