Description

The Varia VS3 Grinder GEN 2 is a compact single-dose electric coffee grinder designed for home use, with a grinding range that covers espresso, filter coffee and cold brew. It features 48 mm conical Supernova burrs, stepless grind adjustment and a low operating speed. The body’s 76.5° angle makes loading coffee beans more convenient and helps reduce the amount of ground coffee retained inside the grinding mechanism.

The second generation introduces a motor running at 170 RPM under load, a stainless-steel gearbox and an updated grinding chamber with a single-piece outer burr. Its stepless adjustment allows the grind size to be precisely dialled in for a particular coffee and recipe. The compact aluminium body, magnetic dosing cup and silicone bellows for clearing residual coffee make the VS3 a practical grinder for home users who regularly switch between different brewing methods.

The manufacturer advises that very lightly roasted or underdeveloped beans may place additional strain on the grinder when using fine espresso settings. The beans should therefore be fed slowly, or a slightly coarser setting should be used with a corresponding adjustment to the dose.
