WDT tool

The WDT (Weiss Distribution Technique) tool is used to evenly distribute ground coffee in the portafilter before tamping.

After grinding, clumps and uneven areas of coffee often appear in the portafilter. By using the fine needles of the WDT tool, these clumps are broken up, and the coffee is evenly aerated and spread across the basket. This helps prevent channeling, which happens when water flows through weak spots in the coffee and results in uneven and poor-quality espresso.

If you want to make professional-quality espresso, the WDT tool is an important part of your barista equipment.
